"The so-called educated person, they are very much proud of their university degree, but if you ask some of them, 'What you are? Wherefrom you have come to this world, and where you are going next?' Oh, they will say, 'What is this nonsense? I am... I do not know wherefrom I have come, where I am going. I have no concern with that. I am concerned with the present life. That's all'. But actually, we are not this present life. It is only a spot in our journey."

"So the beginning is, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam means Kṛṣṇa. It cannot be otherwise. This is kṛṣṇa-kathā. The Bhagavad-gītā is also kṛṣṇa-kathā. Kathā means words. So Kṛṣṇa words spoken by Kṛṣṇa, that is Bhagavad-gītā. And words spoken about Kṛṣṇa, that is Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. Or about Kṛṣṇa's devotees, that is bhāgavata. So bhāgavata, there are two kinds of bhāgavata. One, this book Bhāgavata, and another, the person bhāgavata, the devotee. He is also bhāgavata. Caitanya Mahāprabhu recommends that bhāgavata para giya bhāgavata sthāne: 'You should go and read Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam from the bhāgavata, person bhāgavata'. Otherwise you will misunderstand. Bhāgavata para giya bhāgavata sthāne."

"Kṛṣṇa is for everyone. Don't think that Kṛṣṇa, as it is stated in your English dictionary, 'Kṛṣṇa is a Hindu God'. He's not Hindu, He's not Muslim or He's not Christian. He's God. God is neither Hindu nor Muslim nor Christian. It is bodily designations, 'I am Hindu, you are Christian'. This is body... Just like dress. You have got some black coat, another has got some white coat. That does not mean we are different because we are in different coat or shirt. As human being, we are all sons of God. We are one. That is the conception. So at the present moment, we have divided the world on account of this shirt and coat. That is not. That is not good. Actually, the whole world or the whole universe belongs to God. This is Kṛṣṇa consciousness."
